Well I bought it just because it was recommended! I also want to buy sklanskys theory of poker!

Yeah I'm no playing for a couple days and I'll re read some of the articles here!

I feel like I can be a winning player I just can't get it going properly yet! I obviously have a couple leaks and was thinking of getting some coaching maybe on next payday!

i have 10-20BI downswing ALL THE TIME...

Im still playing all thanks to bankroll management..

even it hurts soo much dropping down again but still if u don follow bankroll management you will end up losing all soon or later

it's not an obsession man,it's a very nice book and if u manage to apply the stuff u read there,but really apply it,then u wont have much problems at least beating micro limits.

Start following BRM if you don't want to go broke (yes, you WILL go broke very soon if you won't). And heh, 7BI isn't a downswing. A downswing is losing constantly over at least about 10k hands, that's probably like 50BI...

I think that if i were to follow BRM with say $100, i think that playing at NL4 is pointless as people play like complete maniacs/fish and its only at the proper stakes that proper play is seen

maybe thats just me talking, i dunno! i mean, im sure the better players on this forum didnt start at NL2, they prob started at NL25 or something, where the advice in these articles can be applied properly!

If im wrong please tell me! Im not so proud that i cant go down a limit! If it needs done then im happy to do it if it will improve my game and seal up leaks!

I just think that If i sat down with 100bb that equates to $4 then i wouldnt respect it as much and play stupidly, where at at NL10, I dont shove my $10 as easily, ill play more sensibly!

1. Get your ego out of the poker or you'll never be a winning player.

2. You can just deposit $5k and start with NL100, but expect to get raped as players there are most likely better than you.

3. You're NOT better/worth more than people who play NL4. At least they follow BRM!

4. Most of our coaches started at low stakes, just read their blogs.

5. You don't want to play vs fish? Who do you think we make money from? Regulars? You're wrong. The whole point of poker is to play vs fish to be able to beat the rake. With a tiny edge you might have against a table full of regs, you'll be losing to rake. Stupid moves from fish are +EV for you, be happy to play them.

6. STICK TO BRM. Either play NL4 or deposit your own money and play higher limits. What you're doing right now is gambling, not playing poker.

7. Read the Poker mindset. You really need to.

Noone said that a book can turn you into a pro. But it can greatly improve your psychology/attitude to poker if you follow it's advice.

You're very very wrong there, mate ;).

I discovered , that by reading the articles here on poker phsycology , i actually started enjoying the game i play. I was verry angry all the time. but now i am going through a downswing lost like 20BI-30BI but i didnt get upset , i got more motivated to win , and start making some money.

I thought poker psihcology was a big bunch of bull , but discored it can actually help ALOT !

So my thanks to all the article writers ,
