I think cbet would be ok, since I assume that player would have high cards and pairs rather than middle cards. Check is also fine. Theres nothing really thin about betting the river.

Agreed. You have some equity as well and we expect him to check/raise big hands on the flop quite often, so when he just calls the flop you can possibly think about barreling on cards that improve your hand like hearts, of course bet for value on A/Q cards.
