Checked on the flop to rep scared aces and induce a bluff. I think Im commited after I c/r him so I call.

What would be a better line to take? Just call preflop? C-bet/fold flop? (I think he attacks this flop alot).

Just calling preflop would be a better option in this case because you don't want to force out other players. When you have a particularly aggressive opponent and you're out of position with a reasonable drawing hand, it helps you if more opponents are in the pot.
People are less likely to be aggressive if they have to bluff multiple players.

On the flop i'm probably not folding, but i'm not necessarily check raising either as it folds out all the times he is bluffing and ends up getting the money in each time he is beating us. By calling we allow the guy to keep on bluffing us on the turn. Obviously soon as you check raise you cannot fold to the shove. 4 outs to a full house, 3 to a straight (assuming he has a straight himself) plus a backdoor flush draw is enough to call.
