haha nice hands.

I agree entirely. There are few situations where you can play it slowly (you have a passive table image in a shorthanded table, few people into the flop) but even so that should mean at least a minbet just to fish out blinds (like you :P) sitting on very marginal hands (more so hand 2).

Definitely not on a full table though.

Yes, in either case, but absolutely without question hand 2, I would have folded to any action before me.

Hand 1 was ok with these cards from this position.

A case of it being better to win just the blinds than lose your whole stack.

Given his limp in and overpair with only a flush draw possible, you would fold to action???

I don't know, hard to say. Then again I'm very rarely faced with this situation so I guess..

@Chenny
My point was that both hands would have been folded preflop if the limper had raised his premium hands. He would have won the blinds, and not much else, instead of losing his stack.

Haha, that is brutal. Love the second hand, couldn't have been worse for him too. He was probably sitting around waiting for that hand and desperately wanted action, hence the limp.

Yes, I felt sorry for him, briefly. Then, my stone cold heart kicked in, and I laughed, MU HA HA HA!

Seriously, these two hands came this afternoon, no more than 5 minutes apart. They were such classic examples of why playing this way is an extreme danger.

My only regret with the second hand is that he didn't have more to give.
