hey, i read in the articles that you should play a limit for which you have about 50buy ins.

is 40 also okay? or is it better if i play a smaller limit and make sure im playing 50.

Thanks.

The proper bankroll management for cash games is 25 buy-ins (max for the table) and 50 buy-ins for SnG's.

Example: 50$ gets you 25buy-ins at 0.01/0.02$ stakes at cash games and 1$ buy-in SnG's, which would be the proper bankroll.

Thank you sir. I read the articles a while back, I thought they always said 50 buy-ins. I dont know why.

Maybe i was reading under the sit n go section.

Thanks again

Personally I believe in a minimum of 50 buyins for cash games and moving up when you get to 100 buyins. Move down if you go under 50 buyins and you will have close to 100 buyins at the lower level, move back up when you go over this limit.

If you play off 25 buyins, you usually end up tilting as a 5 buyin downswing is 20% of your stack! (pretty significant!)
