I take it you mean implied odds?

An example is calling a raise preflop with a small mid pocket pair.
You can make this call due to the call 20 rule (you and opponent have 20 times raise in your stack).

If you believe you can stack your opponent when you flop a set you are calling preflop with implied odds.

It's based on How much will I win if I make my hand?

You need to balance both implied and pot odds in your decisions

Other factors involve
postion
villian looseness
stack sizes
