did he make the right play? If not, where would you fold?

Wouldn't fold anywhere.. Would bet more on the flop though, and raise AI.. If an opponent already hit the flush you still got lots of FH outs and if nobody got the flush, you will often take down the pot on the flop... Or be a big favorite against a draw.,

With a set you should try to get your money into the pot, as fast as you can. Protect your strong hand!
This in mind villain should have raised 3/$ of the pot on the flop and pushed after your reraise.
