A $5 million bluff for the bracelet

Our friends at the Unibet sponsored The Chip Race podcast have another hand analysis with one of the biggest names in poker.

WPT champion Dan Smith joined Dara and David to break down a big bluff at the final table of the $111,111 One Drop event from 2016 against Fedor Holz. They already had $3 million locked up and were playing for another $2 million and the bracelet. 

Fedor raises the Button and gets flatted by Smith who holds K 8. The guys then discuss which hands to raise vs flat in spots like this and Dara shares what the solver approved lines are, while Dan gives his reasoning and what his overall hand weighting strategy is. 

Throughout the hand we get a detailed discussion on what the solvers advocate vs what an effective generalised strategy might look like, as well as the old chestnut of GTO vs exploitative strategy. 

The river is a huge action card that gives Fedor a straight but our Hero has a big flush blocker, so he goes ahead and puts a big bluff in. Will he get it through and most importantly what does PIOSolver think of how both men should play on this board?
