Do this one habit in every hand you play
Concentrate on this one thing at the tables to skyrocket your development as a player, courtesy of Bencb of Raise Your Edge.

One of the best habits you can adopt in poker is considering your opponent’s range in every hand that you play.
Working on this part of your game alone will pay massive dividends almost immediately.
You have to start thinking about what hands your opponent can have, and how often they make a good hand on a given flop.
For example, lets say you raise Under the Gun (UTG) with 8♦ 8♠.
Your opponent calls in the big blind, and the flop is A♠ K♦ 6♥.
Your opponent checks.
Should you bet or check?
Range advantage

Hopefully you can see how you can have a massive advantage on this board, given what hands are in your range compared to your opponent’s.
Your opponent would likely have 3-bet you with a hand like AA, KK, or AK, meaning that the best possible hands he can have are K6 suited and a set of sixes.
Meanwhile, you can have AA, KK, 66 AK, and better 1 pair Ax and Kx hands!
This is a clear situation to bet and put the pressure on your opponent, since his range is capped (meaning he can’t have the strongest hands possible).
There are levels to understanding the game of poker.
Different levels

Level one players think about what their hand is and how it interacts with the board.
Level two players think about what their opponent’s range of hands can be and how it interacts with their hand.
Level three players think about how their range interacts with their opponent’s range.. And it goes on from there.
Point being, if you play with a lot of level one players, who are only thinking about their own hands and the board.
Starting to consider their ranges will put you at level 2 - which is all you’ll need to be profitable in your poker game!
Never try to balance your range or play “GTO” against a fish, just take advantage of them when their range is capped, and exploit them till their chips are in your stack.

Pairrd App by Raise Your Edge
While checking out the most popular courses on our dedicated Raise Your Edge page, you should also have a look at their unique interactive studying tool Pairrd that is coming with engaging video quizzes, range drilling and hand review quizzes, all based on the most up to date GTO ranges out there.
An essential part when learning poker is the ability to think in ranges and understand the why behind them. Raise Your Edge does a great job of getting that across to their students, meticulously breaking down ranges and explaining the reasoning behind them.
However, memorising ranges is quite hard, and often the only way to learn is by making enough costly mistakes to see one's errors. Thankfully, Raise Your Edge provides a powerful tool to circumvent that with Pairrd.
PokerStrategy.com editor Barry Carter has reviewed Pairrd and concluded about the merits of the innovative app:
"Pairrd is a unique interactive studying tool that provides something relatively new to the world of poker training, a way to practice spots without having to play them at the tables. It is essentially a dynamic way to make real poker decisions without risking money. Since most of us learn from experience, it's a natural way to memorise the theory from Raise Your Edge."
