Today we grab a quick word with PusheeR ahead of the PokerStrategy.com Heads-Up Championship. PusheeR is a professional poker player and coach from our Russian community.

PokerStrategy.com: Hi PusheeR. For those that don't know you, tell us a bit about your poker career so far.
pusheer: I started at NL2 three years ago with the PokerStrategy.com free poker money and I multiplied it many times over. Now I'm playing mostly NL400 - NL2000.
PokerStrategy.com: How does it feel to be representing Russia in the PokerStrategy.com Heads-up Championship?
pusheer: It's an honor for me to represent the Russian community in the upcoming tournament. I see myself mostly as a 6-max player, but during the last half of the year I've begun to start tables a lot and that's more profitable than 6-max itself.
PokerStrategy.com: How do you rate your chances?
pusheer: Honestly, not so high. It's already quite an event in your life to play against big names like Junglemandan or Insyder19.
I've begun to prepare myself and to spend more time for one-on-one play. I'll do everything I can to win. I'm sure I'll do my best, and what will be will be.

PokerStrategy.com: Very modest. We hear legendary grinder NanonokoPS refused to play you heads-up.
pusheer: Well, it's possible that nanonoko was playing too many tables at that moment, but the fact remains - he really refused to play heads-up with me, there's a screenshot in my blog (Russian).
PokerStrategy.com: Is heads-up the toughest form of poker?
pusheer: Yes, for sure. The wider the ranges are, the harder to play.
PokerStrategy.com: With your opponents making videos about playing against you, do you think you will learn a lot from it?
pusheer: I don't think it will a big learning experience, but I'm sure I will derive something from it.
PokerStrategy.com: What motivated you to play this in the first place?
pusheer: It's a cheap way to play with really good opponents and master my poker skill.

The PokerStrategy.com Heads-up Championship
After weeks of planning the PokerStrategy.com Heads-up Championship begins next week, with a total of 14 videos to be produced by 8 PokerStrategy.com coaches including some of the world’s best players.
They will be taking each other on over a series of 90-minute heads-up matches. At the end of 90 minutes, the coach in profit after rake will progress to the next round.
The first match is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, November 27 with the final due to play out on Thursday, December 6.
This week, we will be announcing the players who will participate with a draw on Sunday, November 25.
