PokerStars Pros share Spin & Go advice
With a new Spin & Go millionaire expected very soon, Chris Moneymaker, Jason Mercier, ElkY and friends share some tips on the format.
PokerStars has just crowned its 200th millionaire and in the next 10 weeks promises to make at least eight more via the PokerStars Championship, the Millionaire Challenge, SCOOP and their $1 million Spin & Go tournaments.
Given the most accessible option for becoming one of the next millionaires is via Spin & Go, we spoke to some well known members of Team PokerStars to get their views on the format as well as their tips on what to do if you are trying to win that million.
What is your advice for anyone playing the $1 million Spin & Go's?

ElkY: Be aggressive and, of course, play to win!
Chris Moneymaker: A Spin & Go is a ton of fun and fast to play. The best advice I can give a player looking to play these is to download the snap shove app. This app will give you a good baseline on which hands to play at which blind levels. Also note that these are winner take all most of the the time so you need to be aggresive especially in position
Jake Cody: Study push fold ranges as they are incredibly important in this form of poker, sometimes differing from the charts to exploit player tendencies.
Jason Mercier: Play tight the first couple levels, know when its time to shove or fold and what hands to do that with from each position. Collect all the chips!
Felipe Ramos: Just be brave and go all in every hand. Build chip advantage and manage the game until glory.
What is the biggest multiplier you have played?

ElkY: I won a 25x multiplier, $100 for $2,500.
Chris Moneymaker: I have had many 6x ones, but I’ve not been lucky enough to hit a bigger one yet.
Jake Cody: I think my biggest ever one was a 10x, at $100 level so first was $1000... but I didn't win.
Felipe Ramos: I was heading back home from Buenos Aires to Sao Paulo after recording as a host of the Fox Sports show called "We Are Poker". My flight was delayed and I decided to play some Spins at the gate. I hit a 10x spin worth 1k exactly when the boarding was about to be over. I said to the lady "I need reception because I am playing for three times the cost of this flight". She said " I dont care so hop on otherwise you are staying as this is the last call". So I moved all in every hand (as I stated in the previous tip) and won 1k. Just after that I tweeted "Thanks Aerolineas Argentinas for the flight delay and making me a free flight for the whole year!".
What was the best Spin & Go game you have railed?

ElkY: Of course the first $1 million Spin and Go won by 'sss66666' (I just saw replay, I didn't witness it live).
Jake Cody: I haven't seen any really big ones live, but by far my favorite is 'SolidPenis' winning 250k on Twitch. You can't help but smile seeing his reaction.
Felipe Ramos: My friend Samara hit a 1k Spin and I was online and witnessed that win. Pretty sick. She told me all about those emotions during breakfast at the BSOP Sao Paulo. That was incredibly sick! 1k in 2 minutes omg!
Jason Mercier: Watching my best friend Darko play some, because he doesn't really play poker, but he had a ton of fun playing.
