The second week of our new BotD season has just ended, so now it's time to see how our players did compared to our Spanish opponents.
This week it was the turn of the first Private tournament on PokerStars restricted to just members of the English & Spanish communities.

The second event of this seasons Battle of the Donkeys (BotD) produced yet another excellent performance from our community, despite being heavily outnumbered by our Spanish community counterparts.
A total of 177 players (119 Spanish & 54 English) from our Communities participated on Sunday within 24 regular teams (9 English) and two community teams.
We were pleased to warmly welcome a new team "Spartan" to join our community in the battle alongside the existing 8 teams and to other community members competing from within our community team. It is hoped that further teams will join us in what is a great, fun & friendly way of spending a Sunday afternoon/evening (or Monday morning for our Oceanic members).
Overall, our members just missed out on the final table, but dominated the next few rankings and had it not been for some dreadful bad beats and long card dead periods, we would have been at the final table in force too.

As a community, we not only possess such tremendous sportsmanship and camaradary, but we also show great strength and quality in depth.
Superb average team results were once again on display with our teams taking 3 of the top 4 medals. Congratulations to everyone in Donkey Patrol, MOD Squad and Team SoyCD for their part in an outstanding result.
Many congratulations also to 1seednoir1, frozenrope, chiller3k, mortimeral, nrgblaze & kennyxx for each collecting $10.62 prize money from the event, the first 3 of which combined to gain a Silver medal in the highest winnings category for MOD Squad.
