KKPoker Launches EV Chop Feature in Cash Games: A new level of strategic play is now available at KKPoker: the EV Chop feature has been introduced across select NLH, PLO, FLASH, 6+ Hold’em, and Bombpot cash game tables.

But what is EV Chop?

EV Chop is a feature that allows players to settle the prize pool in an all-in situation based on current equity, rather than playing out the hand to the river.

If the following conditions are met:

• All players are all-in
• The pot is 20 big blinds or more
• The hand is in the Preflop, Flop, or Turn stage
• No further action is possible

...players will have the option to use EV Chop and divide the pot according to each player's win probability at that point in the hand.

EV Chop is now active at eligible cash game tables, adding a new layer of fairness and strategy to KKPoker gameplay. This feature is available exclusively in Cash Games and does not apply to MTTs or SNGs. Eligible formats include NLH, PLO, PLO5, FLASH, 6+ Hold’em, and Bombpot (not available in double board games).

Conditions for Activating EV Chop:

To activate EV Chop in a hand, all of the following five basic conditions must be met:

• EV Chop must be enabled at the table.
• The current betting round must be Preflop, Flop, or Turn (not applicable on the River).
• A winner must be determined by comparing hand strength, and all non-competing players must have folded.
• The main pot or any side pot must be at least 20 big blinds.
• At least one player must have a different equity percentage from the others.

If any of these conditions are not satisfied, EV Chop will not be available to any player in the hand.

Player-Specific Eligibility:

If all five basic conditions are met, each player must also meet the following criteria to individually qualify for EV Chop:

• The player is still competing for at least one pot of 20BB or more.
• The player’s win probability in that pot is greater than 0% and less than 100%.
• The player’s eligible cashout amount is at least 0.01.

Summary:

EV Chop will be offered only when the hand meets all trigger conditions, and the individual player meets all three personal eligibility criteria.

How to calculate the EV Chop:

Cashout: Players may choose to withdraw a portion of the pot based on their current win probability (equity). Upon selecting this option, they will receive the calculated amount immediately, but forfeit the right to compete for the full pot.

Resume Hand: Players can decline the EV Chop offer and continue the hand as usual, playing for the full pot. Even if opponents opt to cash out, players who reject EV Chop must still win at showdown to claim the pot.

Platform Fee: A 2% fee is applied based on equity.

Formula: EV Chop Fee = (Pot – Fee) × Equity × 0.02

For hands with multiple pots, this calculation is applied to each pot individually.

Player Payout (Cashout Amount): The player’s cashout amount is calculated after deducting the EV Chop fee.

Formula: Cashout = (Pot – Fee) × Equity – EV Chop Fee

This formula is applied separately to each pot if more than one exists.
