News: Start 2022 in style with Double Action & Winter Series

Another full edition of our Double Action freerolls lies ahead and as usual PokerStrategy.com tracked first time depositors at PokerStars PokerStars.uk PokerStars PokerStars.dk PokerStars.be PokerStars.ee PokerStars.pt are rewarded with access to several exclusive $500 freerolls.

$50M guaranteed in the Winter Series

The final PokerStars series of 2021 has started on Christmas Day with at least $50 million guaranteed between December 25 - January 12.

Just like the years before, there will be three buy-in levels for almost each of the 123 events scheduled in the Winter Series, with buy-ins starting at just $2.20 going all the way up to $10,300 in a $750K GTD High Roller on January 4.

The Main Events of the series will all be played on Sunday, January 9 at 19:05 CET, with the following guarantees:

Low: $55 buy-in, $1,000,000 GTD
Medium: $530 buy-in, $1,500,000 GTD
High: $5,200 buy-in, $2,000,000 GTD

Additionally, there is also a PLO Main Event scheduled for January 9 for all the fans of high-octane action with four starting cards, coming with a buy-in of $215 and $250K guaranteed.

On top of that, there are two other tournaments that can be considered highlights of this year's Winter Series in their own right, amongst them a massive $2M GTD Sunday Million on January 2 with a $215 buy-in as well as a $1.25M GTD Phase Event concluding on January 10 with a $109 buy-in.

Since the series takes place during the Holiday Season the schedule reflects this, e.g. there are Turbo and Hyper Turbo events on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve so nobody will miss a family get-together because of a tournament overrunning.

Rewards of up to 65% Rakeback

While jumping into the Winter Series, don't forget that a new rewards system at PokerStars worth 65% rakeback was made available to all players.
