Phil Galfond's slide is up for sale
We round-up some stories you may have missed including Hellmuth on Billions and Doug Polk forced to remove 17 videos.
Galfond's slide for sale
One of the most iconic artifacts of pre-Black Friday decadence was Phil Galfond's infamous slide between the two New York apartments he owned.
Now that Galfond has had to relocate to Canada to play poker and launch his own site, sadly that infamous slide has been placed for sale on Craigslist, with a list price of $15,000.
It even made for a small feature on the Wall Street Journal:
Hellmuth on Billions
Last night the Showtime drama Billions had a poker episode, with Phil Hellmuth and Brandon Cantu making an appearance.
The show follows hedge fund managers and is produced by Rounders creator Brian Koppleman, so it was only a matter of time before he called in his friends from the poker community.
You can see a brief overview below with some very minor spoilers (and if you squint hard enough, you can see the Poker Brat):
Polk given takedown notice
The most popular YouTube star in poker has been forced to remove 17 of his videos.
Many believe Doug Polk's hand analysis videos fall comfortably within the remit of 'fair use' but the Game Show Network, who produce High Stakes Poker, disagreed and have ordered him to take down all his videos that included hands from the show.
Polk created a video to explain the situation:
Hallaert releases WSOP spreadsheet
Before he became famous as a November Niner, Kenny Hallaert was already a paragon of the poker community because of a WSOP spreadsheet he created every year that featured all the major tournaments taking place around Vegas during the series.
He did it for free every year and it took a lot of work.
This year he has done it once again for free, but if you want to thank him for it you can make a donation to REG Charity:
I don't accept any donations for creating this. I do support @REGcharity, you can help me by donating to them via: https://t.co/4M3BWMf7hv
