Andrew Yang speaks in support of online poker

US poker players have found their candidate in the 2020 election as Democratic hopeful Andrew Yang has come out in support of poker.

One of the many frustrations American poker players suffer is the fact that their pleas to have the legality of online poker even discussed by politicians get completely ignored, until now.

Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang tweeted his support for the game over the weekend:

Naturally this led to a tremendous amount of excitement in the US poker world, most notably from Joey Ingram who offered to host Yang on his podcast. Yang, who has been appearing on a number of non-mainstream podcasts like the Joe Rogan podcast, quickly obliged:

While Yang is considered something of a long shot in the Democratic Primary he has amassed a cult like following most notably for his advocation of Universal Basic Income. He also has gained a lot of admirers from both sides of the political isle for a refreshing unconventional approach to politics.

We will now perhaps see just how big the US poker community is because it looks like he has just converted all of them to the Yang Gang.

Does he have a chance? Let us know in the comments:
