MPN will close on May 19, 2020

After 16 years the date of the final hand to be played at the MPN network has been announced for May next year.

Back in September we brought you the sad news that the MPN network was closing after 16 years and this week we learned exactly when. 

The company confirmed that the final hand played at the site would be May 19 next year:

MPN will deal our last hand on May 19th, 2020.

This will be well after their final live event in their MPN Poker Tour, which is their Grand Finale in Madrid starting on February 6. 

Little else has been confirmed, particularly about the fate of the 16 skins who use the network. So far Russian language poker room Red Star is the only one to confirm a transition, as they have announced they will be moving to the iPoker network. 

Despite the fact that they will be no longer operating in just over six months, MPN is still updating and improving its software for ease of use.
