Could a Triton mid stakes tour be happening?

The envy of the poker world may have an affordable iteration coming in the near future.

This, but at affordable stakes?

The Tritons are the envy of the poker world, not just for huge prize pools but for their lavish live streams and luxurious destinations.

Triton CEO Andy Wong has hinted in a press release and interview that the rest of us might be able to experience Tritons at affordable buy-ins.

"Rest assured that in the coming years, Triton will be more accessible to a lot of people around the world,” Wong says. “It’s a lower buy-in but a larger operation to give people a taste of the experience and the platform we’re creating."

Wong has suggested we will see Tritons at 'mid stakes' buy-in ranges in the future.

Before we get too excited, remember that this series routinely features buy-ins of six-figures on their stops. So what the High Rollers consider to be mid stakes may be very different to what you and I consider it to mean.

Still, it is a series that captures the imagination and the numbers are getting very big on the High Roller tour. It seems like Triton is getting good at handling bigger fields and maybe in the next few years they will produce a tour to river the EPT and WPT?

What do you think they consider to be 'mid stakes?' Let us know in the comments:
