2016 TCOOP schedule revealed
Starting on January 21, the first major online festival of the year begins, once again guaranteeing $15m in prizes.
The PokerStars Turbo Championship of Online Poker (TCOOP) returns on January 21 and runs through to January 31, featuring 50 fast-paced tournaments and a guaranteed $15 million.
Now in its fifth year, TCOOP has become one of the most anticipated dates on the online poker calendar, kicking off an exciting year's grinding each January.
While the focal point remains the $700 buy-in, $2 million guaranteed Main Event on January 31, there are a host of new and unmissable events added for this year’s festival, including:
- The first three-phase tournament in TCOOP history
- Progressive ultra knockout tournaments for the first time
- Debut of 4x turbo tournaments
- A hyper turbo, deep, one rebuy one add on tourney, previously reserved for satellites
Get a big score in a short space of time

On the upcoming ten day festival, Team PokerStars Pro Online member, Mickey ‘mement_mori’ Petersen said;
I'm really looking forward to TCOOP. The turbo structures, coupled with the range of games and formats, keeps things fun and interesting every day. Plus, with each tournament only lasting a few hours, it's a great way to try and get a big score in a short space of time.
There is also a Player of the year title to fight for, where additional prizes are awarded for players who do consistently well throughout the championship and includes, among other things, a $10,300 SCOOP Main Event ticket for the winner.
Qualifiying satellites are now underway at PokerStars for every TCOOP event. Cash buy-ins start from as little as $0.11 and, from early January, StarsCoin satellites will be available from just 1 StarsCoin. All qualifiers can be found in your PokerStars client.
