EPT Monte Carlo: 24 Players Entering Day 4

Just 24 players are left after Day 3 of the EPT Monte Carlo. Bokkie and ScHnibl0r both cashed for €20,000 while Vedevas was the highest ranked PokerStrategist, earning €30,000 after finishing 43rd.

The season ending PokerStars European Poker Tour in Monte Carlo is now down to its final two days. Only 24 players are left to compete for the €1.7 million first place prize. All the remaining players are now guaranteed a payout of at least €50,000. They will return on Day 4 to compete for a spot at the final table.

Kevin Eyster is the current chip leader with 2,768,000 chips but is followed closely by Matt Perrins and Jean Francois Talbot who both have around 2.5 million chips. Eyster started Day 3 with just 250,000 chips and increased his stack by more than 10 times.

Vedevas tops the PokerStrategist table

By the end of Day 3, almost all of the big name players had already left the building. Finnish high stakes pro Sami "LarsLuzak" Kelopuro (pictured right) however, remains a strong contender. He finished the day in ninth place and has about 1 million chips.

Meanwhile, Team PokerStrategy.com members ScHnibL0r and Bokkie both busted out after a short stint in Day 3, earning €20,000 for their efforts. The three other PokerStrategists who played were also eliminated later on in the day, with Russian Diamond member vedevas the last one to hit the rails.

Besides these five players, Thomas "draction" Laumer was also involved in a two day side event and is still in the running with 25 players left.
