High Stakes Poker Season 7 Announced

Season 7 of High Stakes Poker has just been announced by GSN. The popular TV poker show will once again gather top players from across the world. The taping of the new season is set to take place between 18th and 20th of November.

No names appearing on the show have been revealed yet, but a GSN representative has said that the network expects "another great cast of world-class players this year".

HSP has seen many pros exchange seats in the past six seasons, with Doyle Brunson, Eli Elezra, Barry Greenstein, Daniel Negreanu and Antonio Esfandiari making their appearances in every season. Other pros seen on the show included the likes of Phil Ivey, Tom "durrrr" Dwan and Patrik Antonius.

Unlike the first five seasons in which Gabe Kaplan (pictured right) hosted the show alongside A.J. Benza, the last year's season featured Kara Scott taking over Benza's spot. She conducted interviews with the players from the floor, leaving the commentary booth to Kaplan.

Whether there will be any more big changes in the upcoming season of HSP remains to be seen, but it is safe to say that the poker community expects another round of exciting episodes with top pros tangling up in big pots.
