Peter Eastgate Puts Main Event Bracelet on eBay

2008 World Series of Poker Main Event champion Peter Eastgate has just put up his Main Event bracelet up on eBay. For those of you who want to own a piece of poker history, bidding starts at $16,000.

Before you make any judgements on Peter Eastgate's (pictured right) decision to sell his historic bracelet, he has also announced that all of the proceeds from the sale of the bracelet will be going to United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).

"I hope that the auctions will attract a lot of people. Every new bid is a help for the less fortunate children helped by UNICEF," he said. "Of course, I am still extremely proud of my title to this day," he added.

"I never wear the bracelet"

Eastgate, who announced his decision to retire from professional poker earlier this year, said that he is still very proud of his achievement, but just doesn't feel the need to hang on to the bracelet that he never wears. He hopes that many others will benefit from this sale.
