iPoker update: Twister Poker is coming, improved lobbies and more

Today we can unveil some upcoming changes to the iPoker network, including an exciting new sit and go format.

Twister Poker is coming

A brand new Sit and Go format is coming to iPoker on January 20. Twister Poker gives you the chance to play for huge prize pools with buy-ins as low as $1.

Twisters are three-handed turbo Sit and Go's, which can be played up to six at a time. They are a winner-takes-all-format. 

The big difference with Twister Poker is that the prize pool you are playing for can be more than the combined buy-ins of the three players.

When the tournament starts a random prize draw picks the prize pool from a 'jackpot' pool and in some instances could be worth up to 1,000 times the buy-in amount. However, at the very minimum, the winner will always win more than double their buy-in. 

Cash table views

A new cash game lobby will make your favourite cash game formats easier to access by grouping tables by game type and buy-in.  

• List view: This is the view from the previous version of the software.

• Group view: The new default view. It will group cash game tables by type and stake. It also features a 'play now' button which allows you to get a seat immediately. 

• Combined view: The grid is divided into three areas - Group View Compact, List View and Selected Table Properties. This is customisable according to your playing preferences.

Tournament pop-up settings 

You will be able to manage pop-ups in tournaments and turn off the ones you don't want to see by ticking a "Don't show this message again" box. 

You will be able to manage registration, un-registration and dropout notification pop-ups so that you only see the notifications which matter to you. 

In addition a new 'Auto Open Tournament Lobby' option is now available in the settings. 

Consolidation of buy-in and fee 

To simplify the view in the tournament and sit and go lobby, the buy-in and fee will show as one consolidated figure.

So for example a €9.10+€0.90 tournament would now just say €10. 

The tournament and quick seat filters will now also be based on the combined sum.
