Phil Ivey up half a million in October

A reversal of fortune for 'RaiseOnce', plus Viktor Blom and Jens Kyllönen have plenty to smile about at the nosebleed tables.

2015 may ultimately be one to forget as far as online poker action is concerned for Phil Ivey, but he has started October with a bang.

He is currently the biggest tracked winner of the month, with $529,329 in profit at the time of writing.

Most of which coming from a $400k winning day at the PLO tables on Saturday evening.

He still has a long way to go to recover from a big losing year at the online tables. At the time of writing he is down $1,250,806 on his Full Tilt account and down $499,822 on his PokerStars account, making him the biggest tracked online loser of the year with $1,750,628 in losses.

His luck isn't any better away from the tables, as last week it was revealed that the Borgata Casino has filed to have his recent countersuit against them removed in their edge-sorting case against him.

Elsewhere at the tables Viktor Blom has almost put his losing month in September behind him. He is up $352,846 in October after dropping $490,808 last month.

In stark contrast to Ivey, Blom is the biggest winner of 2015 so far, with $3,156,577 in profit at PokerStars but $1,367,244 in losses at Full Tilt, to make him up $1,789,333 overall this year.

Also enjoying a good month and year is Jens Kyllönen, who is up $134,044 in October and $1,034,235 for the year.

Jens is one of the most steady and consistent players at the nosebleed tables, and this month also officially became the first player to surpass $5 million in profit at PokerStars. At the time of writing he has $5,093,919 in career tracked winnings on the site.
