Joe Ingram writes a poker book in 11 days

We round-up the stories you may have missed including a crazy prop bet, the American Poker Awards and Daniel Negreanu's new hobby.

The book prop bet

We've seen volume bets before but not like this, YouTube poker star Joe Ingram has successfully completed a very scholarly prop bet.

He made a $2,000 even money bet that he could write and self-publish a 40,000 word poker book in 11 days, and he managed just that (despite managing to get a typo in the title).

Maybe even more remarkable was in the short space of time he managed to get contributions from a number of pros including Ryan Fee, Dan Colman and Cole South. The book should be on the virtual shelves very soon so stay tuned:

Hellmuth wants a bestseller

It looks like he will be in direct competition with the Poker Brat who is taking a little longer than five days for his own memoirs but has typically Helmuthian ambitions for it:

KidPoker's got the moves

Is this the start of (or the forfeit for losing) another prop bet? Check out Daniel Negreanu who it appears has taken up tango:

First attempt at the tango! Ballroom dancing really is fun if you've never tried it, give it a go.

The American Poker Awards

The nominations have been announced for the 3rd annual American Poker Awards. Unfortunately it was just a little bit too late for Libratus to be considered for the 'Best Performance' award.

The awards taking place in LA on February 23 and include nominations for the aforementioned Joe Ingram and Daniel Negreanu, as well as Mike Sexton, Jason Somerville, David Peters and many more.

You can see the full list of nominees here
