Almost Exactly 127,644 Chips To The WSOPE

During the WSOP, the Swede Marcus Gustafson guessed how many chips were in a completely filled Mini Cooper Convertible – correct to three chips. His prize: a buy-in for the Main Event of the WSOP Europe.

The event was a promotion by the main sponsor Betfair.
The Betfair pros Annette Obrestad, John Tabatabai and Sorel Mizzi
helped loading up the Mini Cooper which was then securely parked behind a plexiglass window and bets were accepted.

If it was simply luck or if Gustafson has some sort of magic skills is not known. What is sure though is that he guessed the amount of chips almost exactly. The Swede believed that 127,644 chips were in the Mini Cooper and with this guess he was only three chips off the official result.

The second WSOP Europe will take place in London during September 19th and October 1st. Last year, the German Thomas Bihl won the first bracelet given away on European ground. Back then he prevailed in the H.O.R.S.E. Event. Annete Obrestad won the Main Event and thus became the youngest bracelet winner of all time.
