Another live poker room reopens
We recap some stories you may have missed including Ladbrokes migrates to partypoker and Phil Galfond is crushing everyone.
Texan card room reopens
Following the news that King's Casino in Prague has reopened and a number of card rooms are trying to create socially distanced tables, the Lodge Card Club in Texas reopens today. They have published their reopening guidelines on their Facebook page.
Games will be no more than six max and capacity will be no more than 75 people including staff (which is less than half capacity), to help ensure social distancing measures. Staff will wear masks, cards and chips will be sanitised regularly and anybody exhibiting symptoms of any illness will be refused service. The reopening will begin with cash games only.
Elsehwere the Talking Stick Resort in Arizona announced a June 1 reopening for their poker room which will be at 50% capacity.
Ladbrokes completes partypoker move
Last week Ladbrokes completed their migration to the partypoker network from iPoker.
It joins its sister site Coral Poker as well as Bwin, to make four operators becoming skins using the partypoker software.
This follows partypoker parent group GVC acquiring Ladbrokes-Coral back in April 2018.
Galfond back to winning ways
The first one was so dramatic you'll be forgiven for not noticing the other two he has going right now, but Phil Galfond is currently cruising in his next Galfond Challenges.
After 9,482 hands of the 15,000 hand challenge he is nicely up against 'ActionFreak' to the tune of €164,478 and looks the favourite to bag the €150,000 side bet.
It's been a while since he played but after 988 hands of a projected 50,000 he is up $90,144 against Bill Perkins.

Jungleman's ode to Galfond
Speaking of which, a very active Phil Galfond also found time to play Daniel Cates heads-up for a 'mini challenge' last week, with a special prop bet attached.
On top of the €86,870 he won, the loser had to record a video proclaiming why the winner was the better player. We're not entirely sure what is going on here, but it appears to be Jungleman paying homage to Mr Galfond:
