Another poker pro crushes Jeopardy!

Cris Pannullo has just been on the sixth biggest winning streak in the history of the general knowledge show with a betting component to it.

Poker players often get criticised for living sheltered lives and knowing nothing of the world beyond their nose. Cris Pannullo of New Jersey is the latest poker player to refute that idea. 

He is the third poker player to go on a massive winning streak on the game show Jeopardy! The 38-year-old had a 21-game winning streak that ended this week. 

That was enough to earn him $748,286, the fifth-highest total ever won on the show. His winning streak was the sixth-longest streak in the show's 58-year history. 

Pannullo is a former poker professional, although not much is known about his history in the game, other than he wrote a few articles for CardPlayer magazine. 

Former poker pro Alex Jacob went on a six game winning streak in 2016. In 2019 Poker pro and sports bettor James Holzhauer has the second biggest winning streak in the show's history with 32 wins, and is second only to Ken Jennings with a whopping 74 wins. 

Pannullo has also appeared on Who Wants to be a Millionaire? The reason for the success of so many poker players on this show appears to be the aggressive betting strategy they employ for the 'Daily Double' squares.
