Aussie Millions $100k Challenge: Sam Trickett Wins [durrrr Interview Inside]
Sam Trickett outlasted Tony Bloom in the heads-up match for the first place prize in Aussie Millions 100k Challenge. Trickett had a tough road to victory, playing against the likes of Erik Seidel and David Benyamine at the final table. Meanwhile, Tony G lived up to his promise and brought a German shepherd to the tournament.

The Aussie Millions $100k Challenge saw 38 players buying-in to compete for a piece of the $3.8 million prize pool. Phil Ivey, Tom Dwan, Patrik Antonius, Gus Hansen, John Juanda, Joe Hachem, Andy Bloch and many more top pros were all sent to the rails before the final table was reached.
Tony G (pictured right) played in the tournament just as well and like he promised, he brought a German shepherd TJ to protect him and tilt his opponents. TJ hopped in as a replacement, as Tony's real dog Zasko couldn't attend the Aussie Millions due to visa and security issues.
Trickett prevails over Bloom
Despite having TJ as his lucky mascot, Tony hit the rails before the final table just as well. Leaving the floor to the remaining pros, such as Sam Trickett, Chris Ferguson, David Benyamine and Erik Seidel.
Only the top 6 players were getting their slice of the prize pool and the two who duked it out for the biggest slices were Sam Trickett and Tony Bloom. Leaving the likes of Seidel and Benyamine behind them in 3rd and 6th place respectively, Trickett and Bloom battled until Trickett's A-K sealed the deal against Bloom's Q-9 in the final hand of the tournament.
Trickett was awarded AUD$1,525,000 (~1.5 million USD) for his efforts. Below are the final table payouts:
