'BigBlindBets' wins the WCOOP Main Event
The World Championship of Online Poker concluded last night with the final table of the $5,200 Main Event.
Unknown UK player 'BigBlindBets' defeated Danilo “dans170′” de Lima Demetrio heads-up for the title and $1,665,962 first prize. The Brazilian runner-up also became a millionaire, taking down $1,187,443 for his 2nd place finish.
SCOOP Main Event champion Talal "raidalot' Shakerchi narrowly missed out on becoming the first player to win both COOP Main Events, exiting in third place for $846,528.
Commenting on the action last night was Parker Talbot and Fintan Hand, who himself had a deep streamed run in this event, finishing in 21st place.
The $5,200 WCOOP Main Event attracted 2,236 entries this year making it bigger than last year (2,044) and the 2nd biggest at the $5,200 price point. The $55 Mini Main Event attracted 37,065 players with $130,035 being awarded to eventual winner "Jesseonboss" after a four-way deal.
The overall WCOOP Player of the Series was Jussi 'calvin7v' of Finland who wins an additional $20,000 for his efforts.
