Biggest ever fold at a WPT final table?

A set of Kings at a televised World Poker Tour final table is the stuff dreams are made of.....right?

With all the talk of the amazing call by Viktor Blom last month to win partypoker LIVE Germany, let’s not forget about some of the gut wrenching folds that make a great player.

Last night Ian Steinman did not win the WPT Rolling Thunder Main Event but he may have made one of the biggest folds ever captured on screen at a final table on the tour.

Steinman eventually finished second place for $201,428, losing to David Larson heads-up who pocketed $295,128. However, this fold against Main Event champion Joe McKeehen, who finished third for $131,081, may be what he remembers more than the score:

“In my mind, my thinking was very kind of fishy, but if it’s somehow correct then it’s some weird high-level study,” Steinman told the WPT after the event “It still might have been a terrible fold. Most likely it was just a terrible fold with bad logic and maybe I just kind of got caught up in the moment.”

We've seen several big folds already on TV in 2018, including this big one at the Aussie Millions and this heads-up fold from Jason Koon in the US Poker Championships.
