Chino Rheem wins third WPT title

Chino becomes a three-timer
Former November Niner David 'Chino' Rheem became the latest player to boast three World Poker Tour titles last week, with a victory in the Seminole Hard Rock Finale Main Event.
342 players entered the $10,000 event and Chino took the title and $705,885 when he defeated Aditya Prasetyo heads-up.
No stranger to controversy, Rheem has long had a reputation for having bad debt within the poker community, despite a very consistent track record in events like this.
Is poker killing chess in Russia?
An interesting article appeared on Bloomberg last week which suggests the Russian government is concerned that poker is killing its national pastime of chess.
It's a very interesting read if you want to catch up on the complicated issues around the legislation of poker over there. The online game is technically illegal in Russia, but recently 16% of Russians admitted to playing.
A U-turn is expected on that, with the proceeds going from legal online poker direct to the National Chess Federation, to prevent the game they love from further losing popularity.
Gus is back, at the snooker table
The Great Dane Gus Hansen is back living in Denmark and it appears has decided not to go back to playing nosebleed poker according to several local interviews.
