Greek player wins 100 Billionth Hand

Last night PokerStars celebrated their 100 Billionth Hand! This legendary milestone was marked by rewarding six lucky players at a $0.02/$0.05 No Limit Table with bonuses each of at least $10,000.

The hands were dealt out and a lone pair of jacks was enough to secure Greek player 'microulis69' $103,800.

Everyone else who was currently at a $0.02/$0.05 table when the hand was dealt also received a bonus, which was confirmed by Lee Jones:

"We have 9,471 players who will get a stake share. The total stake share awarded is $830,790.34 and the average stake share going to those players is $84.72."

Congratulations to microulis69 and everyone at PokerStars. Looks like it's time to start the countdown to a Trillion hands.

PokerStars voted best workplace

With 100 Billion Hands logged, PokerStars are clearly doing something right. If further proof was needed, they have just been voted as one of the Top 25 places to work in the UK.

PokerStars were in the 'Large Company' category of the list compiled by the Great Place to Work Institute.

“It’s an honour to be on the Great Place To Work Institute list of the UK’s Best Workplaces and it is a testament to the people-focus of our entire organization,” said Lynn Hunter, Director of Human Resources at PokerStars. “Our commitment to being a great workplace starts at the executive level of our company and is reflected in every decision we make.”

No sooner did Germany take the lead from Russia than they lost it back to them again.

Last night 'Retivay' from Russia took down the $5.50 Omaha Hi/Low event for $93, defeating German 'sportdrug' heads-up.

The win matched Germany for Golds, but with more Silvers put Russia back to the top spot.

Meanwhile 'begbane' of Serbia took down the $2.20 rebuy event for $215.
