2+2 Hacked

| The Page 2+2 Users Saw |
If you’re a member of 2+2 then check your other online accounts as the popular forum has been targeted by a hacker.
According to those in the know, such as Kevin “Kevmath” Mathers and Noah “NoahSD” Davidowitz, the virtual intruder was able to compromise the site’s internal security and gain access to usernames, emails, hashed passwords and password salts.
For those who aren’t of a technical persuasion, this basically means that the culprit has been able to piece all this information together and (possibly) uncover people’s plain text passwords. Once they’ve got hold of this they could enter any of your online accounts with the same password.
The technical team at 2+2 have temporarily closed the forums to prevent further attacks but everyone with an account should check out NoahSD’s blog for 4-step plan on how to protect yourself.
PokerStars Go Mobile
If you’re a player at PokerStars and fancy a few hands of poker while you’re on the move then you’re in luck. After successfully rolling out their mobile application in the UK and Italy, PokerStars are now expanding their reach across Europe.
PokerStars.eu players were granted access to the iOS and Android applications last week, which means players from Sweden, Finland, Romania, Poland and Slovenia can now take down pots while killing time at the bus stop.
The latest nation to “go mobile” is France and according to Jeffrey Haas, Director of New Platforms at PokerStars, more countries are to be added to the new platform as part of a, “multi-phased release plan.”

Party Poker’s Pokerfest II
Party Poker’s second incarnation of their Pokerfest series is currently in full swing with numbers swelling across the board. Indeed, “sfc21” and “PeNNaCaN” have already profited from the huge guarantees on offer.
The former took down the opening event for $56,958, while the latter scooped $54,437 after beating 516 players in event 4.
The action is set to continue until May 6th and over the next few days the $350,000 and $450,000 guaranteed events are the ones to watch.
Check out our forum thread to see which events are happening between now and May 6th.
PKR Gets a Facelift
PKR has upped the ante in the visual stakes recently after upgrading their 3D software.
Known throughout the industry as one of the most impressive looking sites in the world, PKR’s technical team has been working hard behind the scenes to make their product even better.
Of all the changes made, the ability to replay, record and upload hands you’ve played is one of the most impressive.
Grinders will also be happy to learn that the site has improved its multi-tabling capabilities with a new tiling system.
In true PKR style a video trailer has been released to show off the delights that await players behind the site's virtual doors.
High Stakes Corner
Ilari “Ilari FIN” Sahamies continued his rollercoaster year at the high stakes tables yesterday with a $271,156 win. A successful 1,206 hands put him top of the day’s profit leaderboard, almost $70,000 ahead of Ben “Ben86” Tollerene who bagged $203,164.
PokerStrategy.com’s Dan "junglemandan" Cates also had an enjoyable day at the virtual felt, netting himself $152,737 over the course of just 681 hands.
Someone who didn’t have such a happy time in the last 24 hours was “LhhmMaoly”. The online grinder dropped $241,367 after playing just 367 hands.
Daily Signoff
If bankrolls were built on irony then the producer of the following video would be a billionaire. Released by “BigThink” on April 23rd, this video of Howard Lederer will certainly put you on tilt for the rest of the day.
