Chris is refusing to pay

Chris Moneymaker "does not pay his debts" according to Jason Young. The allegation was posted in a recent forum thread which accuses Chris of failing to pay a $25,000 gambling debt.

Apparently Chris has owed the money since 2012 and despite acknowledging the debt he "has refused to pay it."

Soon after Jason's post Chris responded under the alias "dunlap" and addressed a number of points. After confirming that he lost money betting on sports with Jason, he clarified that the amount owed was actually $15,000.

He also outlined that he's being "freerolled" by Jason because a number of pros have stated that he owes them more than $40,000.

Because of this Chris has insisted that he will "not pay the debt"; something which seems to have sparked much debate amongst the poker community.

The WPT lands in Paris

Matt's back in action

In the wake of the WSOPE the World Poker Tour's bandwagon has set out its stall in Paris. Traditionally a popular event on the WPT roster, the Grand Prix de Paris's €7,500 Main Event gets underway today.

Taking place over five days, the jewel in the tour's Parisian crown is set to feature a number of famous faces, including the defending champion Matt Salsberg.

Whilst many of the game's elite will be taking part in the Paris Main Event, a small selection of pros is preparing to take part in the WPT's Alpha8 Super High Roller in London.

Kicking off on October 28, the £100,000 event will take place inside Mayfair's Palm Beach Casino and marks the second incarnation of the tour's premium event.

Arnett for Survivor

Poker reporter Kristy Arnett is looking to follow in the footsteps of Jean-Robert Bellande and become a contestant on Survivor.

The reality TV show is currently accepting video auditions and in the quest for the $1 million top prize Kristy has put together a tape outlining why she'd be good for the show.

Using her poker background as a selling point, the community will certainly be supporting Kristy if it means she'll be spending a lot of time on camera in her bikini.

Viktor 'Isildur1' Blom continued his recent upswing with a $784,966 win in the last 24 hours. Coming over the course of 2,373 hands, the impressive profit was enough to put him top of the daily leaderboard ahead of 'Denoking' ($215,886) and Alex 'IReadYrSoul' Millar ($209,413).

Failing to perform and topping yesterday's loss chart yesterday was hasufly. The German grinder logged off with a $343,022 deficit to finish his session ahead of 'Sanlker' ($216,112).

With Kristy Arnett wanting to appear on Survivor we thought we'd look back at the time Jean-Robert was silenced by a fellow contestant.
