Poker Documentary
SNTV is set to release a documentary entitled: Project Poker.
The 9 episode documentary follows Gary Tobin as he grinds the Las Vegas circuit in search of fame, fortune and poker notoriety.
In typically dramatic American style, Gary’s quest to make $10,000 before the start of the 2012 Main Event is peppered with high, lows, dramas and delights.
Supporting Gary on his mission to “beat them all” is his wife and daughter, as well as his parents who are keen for Gary’s poker obsession to rub off on their 3 year old granddaughter.
The show airs on July 5th and should make for interesting viewing, if for no other reason than to see how tough it is to actually make it to the top of the poker world.

The Kiddie Game is Down the Street
A 13 year old boy made a bid for Daniel Negreanu's "Kid Poker" moniker in the past week according to an article in the British newspaper: The Metro.
The London-based periodical ran a story about Declan Hind who used a poker app to play the game on his phone but ended up losing almost £7,000.
After toying with play money, Declan used his dad’s credit card to deposit money and subsequently lost a chunk of his father's money.
While the article does its best to paint online poker in a negative light, the objective reader should be able to ascertain that the problem emanated from the child and not the poker site.
Indeed, as the article states: “Once he was lent the card to buy a birthday gift for his mother he started gambling for money.”
Stories like this certainly don't help the poker industry, however, in this case it seems as though the poker site was powerless to stop Declan using his father's financial details and breaching their trust.

High Stakes Corner
It was a slow day by nosebleed standards yesterday as “0Human0” managed to top the high stakes table with a profit of $72,559.
Someway behind the online grinder, with a profit of $42,614, was “mikki696”. “patpatman” finished the day in third after making $38,833 in just 362 hands.
Not enjoying their time at the virtual felt yesterday was “EireAbu”. The unknown player lost $83,752, which was a fraction more than “glosik” who dropped $76,398.
WSOP Round-Up
As the WSOP $1 million One Drop tournament edges ever closer the number of players willing to sell some action and take a shoot seems to be increasing.
Indeed, with the news that Jean-Robert Bellande will be battling for the richest prize in poker history, recent bracelet winner Brain Hastings has decided to take a shot.

With 15 events now in the bag, the WSOP POTY leaderboard is beginning to take shape and currently leading the way is Event #10 winner, John Monnette.
Having already bagged a 1st and 3rd at this year’s Series, John has managed to accumulate 310 points putting him just ahead of Brian Hastings on 292.
Currently in 3rd place in the POTY race is Event #9 winner, Ashkan Razavi on 274.

Jean-Robert Bellande will be hoping that he doesn’t suffer the same fate in the $1 million One Drop this year as he did during the Main Event in 2008.
