PokerStrategists Dominate SCOOP
A number of PokerStrategy.com members have been raking in mammoth bankroll boosts over the last few days thanks to some excellent SCOOP performances.
Austrian member wongfeihung claimed third spot in Event #13 and took home $102,705, just ahead of fellow PokerStrategist lechiffre19 who finished fourth for $78,156.
Marko infinity1000 Neumann and bjoerniboy also had deep runs in Events #11 and #16. The former took home $33,040, while the latter managed a twelfth place finish in the $215 NLHE turbo worth $5,064.
Overall this year’s SCOOP leaderboard is being dominated by Shaun Deeb. The American, who now lives in Mexico, has a table-topping 330 points, which puts him ahead of Uruguay’s “joacowalter” on 275 points.
Also enjoying profitable SCOOPs are Viktor “Isildur1” Blom and Anders “Donald” Berg who are currently third and fourth in the overall leaderboard.

Praying to the Poker Gods

Doyleism of the Day
It’s fair to say that Doyle Brunson has led an eventful life. In his 70+ years on this earth he's seen everything from robberies and killings, to high stakes gambling.
It's for this reason that his blog has become one of the most colourful and entertaining in the poker community. Indeed, this week's entry is another enthralling tale involving guns, violence and money.
After busting out of a WSOP event in 1998, Doyle decided to blow off some steam in a cash game before heading home.
Things soon turned ugly though, when two masked men pointed a gun at Doyle’s head and told him to show them the safe…

High Stakes Corner
The Czech Republic’s King Casino streamed a live cash game on Friday with some of Europe’s top players contesting some huge pots.
Although the stakes were far from those seen in Macau or other nosebleed cash games, the pots were certainly noteworthy.
Indeed, in the last hand of the session three players contributed to a pot worth over €100,000.
The action started off calmly enough but after a big move on the turn by a player holding pocket sevens, things soon spiralled out of control.
2+2 Back Online
2+2 is now back online after two weeks of down time. The site closed its doors after a security breach forced the operators to implement new security measures.
However, normal service has now been resumed and users are being greeted with the following message:
“Welcome Back! As most of you know, we had a problem that meant the forums had to be taken down for a little over two weeks. In order to log into the forums you must reset your password. To do this - enter the e-mail address for your forum account into the Password Recovery Form and then follow the instructions that are mailed to you.”
