Doug Polk quits poker (again, for reals)

Once again he has lost his passion for the game so don't expect to see many Polker videos in the near future.

Last year poker YouTube pioneer Doug Polk retired from the game and for the most part poker content. Then at the start of the WSOP he relaunched his channel, played some bracelet events and it seemed like maybe he was back.

It seems, however, that might have been his way of testing the waters to see if poker was still for him, as after the Main Event he once again declared he was done with the game:

The decision it seems is in part due to him not studying or playing enough to feel engaged with the big games. Something of a problem considering his channel and other business ventures are strategy focussed:

He did get an outpouring of support and confirmed we will certainly see more content from him in the near future.

Retirement is a fickle word in the poker industry, just ask famous 'retiree' Fedor Holz who has crushed many a tournament, is sponsored by partypoker and has launched a poker business, all since claiming to quit the game.

However, it might be he needs a long break or maybe it's time for something new, but it seems Doug Polk will be away from the game for a while.

Is he going for good or is it just burnout? Let us know in the comments:
