EPT PCA 2008 Day 2
153 players survived day 2 of the EPT PokerStars Caribbean Adventure. The average stack is approximately 150,000. Eric Lynch is the chip leader with over 500,000. Two PokerStrategy members moved on to day 3.
Nearly
1000 players have been eliminated already. Among them, unfortunately
was PokerStrategy coach Simon "Schnibl0r" Münz. Schnib
wasn't the only pro to leave on day 2, however. Indeed, notable
eliminations include Isabelle Mercier, Daniel Negreanu, Noah Boeken
and Tom McEvoy.
Our
very active PokerStrategy member Markus "17011701" Ritt was among
the 153 day 2 survivors. During the 3rd
day, Markus was able to eliminate Tom McEvoy, increasing his stack to
over 150,000. Unfortunately he lost some chips later in the
tournament, but is still in the race with almost 80,000 chips. The
other remaining PokerStrategy member, Thomas "Bull3t" Ilg,
finished the day with a little over 100,000 chips, making him the
third German after Mark Ross (166,000) and Christian Taepper
(212,000).
Meanwhile,
the final payout structure was announced. The winner will receive $2
million, with second place paying a little over $1 million. Third
place gets $800,000. 51st
to 120th
places will pay $16,000.
