Edward Norton hints at Rounders sequel
Hollywood star can't rule out the potential of a follow up to everyone's favourite poker film.
Having been prompted to discuss the film during a televised interview on The Late Show with David Letterman earlier this week, Hollywood actor Edward Norton has hinted at the possibility of a second 'Rounders' production.
Norton - who played 'Worm' in the original flick - had barely sat down on stage before the host was praising him for his performance in the 1998 classic, and eagerly pestering for some clarification over a potential sequel:
"Whenever your name comes up I think of two things. One, the great movie 'Rounders.' Tremendous film. I just now heard, which I don’t believe possible, the possibility of a second Rounders. I don’t know how you make a second Rounders. Is there a possibility of it?"
And here's what Norton had to say:
"I think there is a possibility of it. We couldn’t have had more fun making that movie, it was one of the best gangs of people ever. We did it right on the cusp of what became kind of the resurgence of the poker phenomenon. I think Matt and I talked later and agreed we should have negotiated like a 5% rake on every poker pot that was played after that. Then we could have made the film with our money!"
The likes of Matt Damon, Gretchen Mol and John Malkovich all starred alongside Norton in the original film, but it's still anyone's guess if any of them would want to make a return. At one stage, Robert DeNiro was even rumoured to be playing a new super villain!
