Erik Seidel Enters Final Table of EPL With Over 1,000,000 Chips

Seidel is at it again. He's close to pushing the $7 million mark in tournament winnings this year alone. Second in chips with eight remaining, all eyes will be one him tomorrow as he plays the final table of the Epic Poker League's Main Event.

After placing 2nd in the inaugural Epic Poker League tournament, just behind the controversial Chino Rheem, Erik Seidel is continuing this year's incredible hot streak in the second tournament of this four series event. Everything Seidel touches as of late seems to turn to gold and even though the EPL is far from over, he must be favourite to win the league.

With only eight players left, Erik Seidel will enter the final table tomorrow with 1,031,000 chips - enough to set him in 2nd place. Aussie David Paul Steicke leads the way, but with only a 28,000 chip lead over Seidel.

With the WCOOP and WPT Paris running simultaneously, less than 100 players registered to play this $20,000 buy in event. But that was still enough for the prize pool to reflect a tasty $782,410.

The hand that made Seidel hit the million chip mark is one to be remembered. Mike McDonald raises 22,000 under the gun and Seidel calls. The flop comes down , Seidel calls, McDonald bets 22,000. Seidel raises to 54,000 and McDonald calls.

The turn shows the , Seidel bets 75,000 and McDonald calls once again. The on the river prompts Seidel to bet 130,000, and McDonald pushes all-in. Seidel makes the call and is all-in for 380,000 chips.

Seidel shows and McDonald shows . Seidel takes the pot with the better full house and is the first to hit the 1 million chip mark.
