Event 39 – Final Table set

The final table of the 39th event of the WSOP, a $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em tournament, has been determined. Chip leader is Thom Werthmann.

The rush on the small No-Limit Hold'em tourneys at the Series is still unchecked. 2,720 players paid the buy-in and generated a prize pool of $3,712,800. The winner will receive $631,656.

15 Hours of Playing Time on Day 2

Paul Kerr Final Table Bubble Boy

The final table bubble boy was Paul Kerr who had to leave the tourney on rank 10. With he lost against the
for Thom Werthmann, who already received a pair with the king on the flop. The turn gave him a two pair. Another four didn't appear and the final table was set.

Thom Werthmann Chip Leader

Thom Werthmann will return tomorrow as chip leader. The American was already able to cash three times at the WSOP and won a bracelet.

His closest pursuers are Thanhdat Tran and Curtis Early. Tran has already finished four times in the money at the WSOP. This is his first final table.

David Woo already has three WSOP cashes to show. His best result was a 5th place at the $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em tourney (Event 27) of the WSOP 2007.
This year, he made an 82nd place in Event 13.

Matthew Wood had his best result at the Series last year when he finished 46th in the $1,500 Omaha Hi-Low Split-8 or Better
tournament.
