Flash Spin & Go millionaire made last night

We recap some stories you may have missed including more crushing from Galfond and the Sunday Million beats the guarantee by over 200%.

There have been plenty of Spin & Go millionaires since the format was launched but last night we got a much rarer event, a Spin & Go Flash millionaire. 

The even faster variant of Spin & Go, with 15 big blinds and one minute levels, only launched in October last year.

Yesterday "TopEliten" of Denmark turned $5 into $1 million in a matter of minutes, while both his tablemates got $100,000 each as consolation prize.

Another huge Sunday Million

One weekend after the biggest Sunday Million in poker history and the tournament shows no signs of stopping during the lockdown. 

There were a staggering 23,134 entries (of which 16,631 were unique players) for the regular $109 tournament which meant that the $1 million guarantee was more than doubled to create a $2,313,400 prize pool. Two weeks ago it attracted 13,579 runners.

Elsewhere the GGMasters, which once again upped the guarantee to $500,000, attracted 3,270 players for the $150 event, meaning they had one of the few overlays of the weekend, $48,740 to be precise. 

Galfond is crushing

The most unlikely comeback in poker continues as Phil Galfond has once again compelled his opponent VeniVidi1993 to take a few days off. He is now down €154,287.93 after at one point being down over €900,000.

There are almost 6,000 hands to go and it genuinely looks like he has a chance of winning it.

If you want to get your Galfond fix, he will be playing heads-up PLO on PokerStars today, not on stream though.
