GGPoker no longer tracked on SharkScope

As of this week new results are not being tracked on GGPoker for reasons of "security and player experience".

This week poker players started to notice that tournament results were not tracking on long standing results database SharkScope. Shortly after it was revealed by SharkScope that GGPoker was prohibiting the site from tracking results.

Most poker rooms allow SharkScope to track tournament results. A few have prohibited them and others, like PokerStars, insist on allowing players to opt out of results being shared. SharkScope has been a very useful way to track results and players who want to be staked have used it to prove they are winning players. However, most losing players would prefer their results are not shared. 

While it is mostly a resource to look at player profitability, it is true that SharkScope has been used to uncover cheating, especially collusion. Players can do their own research to see if groups of players have a high ratio of winning results in the same tournament. Indeed, this was one of the ways in which Ali Imsirovic was discovered to be multi-accounting. 

Quite why GGPoker would pull out of being tracked by SharkScope is not yet known, but one reason they may give is that they already have their own in-house version of results tracking in the form of PokerCraft. This both shows the user a detailed breakdown of their own results as well as providing potential stakers with an overview of them. However, PokerCraft shows turnover and In The Money percentages, not profit.
