Golden Nugget To Host Grand Poker Series

The Grand Poker Series attracted over 15,000 last year and now it will return again to the Golden Nugget to offer players from across the world daily tournaments running from June 6 to July 5.

GPSThe Grand Poker Series will return to Golden Nugget this year, taking place from June 6 to July 5. The director of Golden Nugget poker John Colville commented:

"We are pleased to bring back the Grand Poker series for its second year. Players were extremely pleased with the first series and we want to make it bigger and better this year, while still delivering the level of play and customer service our poker players expect."

The Grand Poker Series will have daily tournaments at noon each day, along with two daily $125 buy-in No Limit Hold'em Bankroll Builder tournaments. There will also be special tournaments for seniors and ladies, as well as a charity poker tournament to benefit The Boys and Girls Club.

The Susie and Howard Lederer Celebrity Charity Poker Tournament will take place on July 1. In order to take part in it, the players will have to pay the $330 buy-in and the winner of the tournament will be given a spot on NBC's Poker After Dark.

Last year's Grand Poker Series attracted over 15,000 players and awarded more than $1.2 million in prize money. Two celebrity charity events raised over $250,000 for multiple charities and this year is expected to be no less successful.
