Martin Zamani wins US Poker Open Series Title
The Whistleblower in the alleged Bryn Kenney cheating scandal has defeated the High Rollers in the latest PokerGO series.
Martin Zamani was not a household name in poker until he publicly alleged that Bryn Kenney ran a major cheating operation. An operation that he admitted to being a part of.
Since then he has let his poker do the talking and this week did the double in the US Poker Open. He won the final $50,000 event for $666,000 at a stacked final table that included Nick Petrangelo, Jeremy Ausmus, Justin Bonomo, Dan Smith, and Chris Brewer.
Not your typical High Roller, he shared the secret of his success during the break:

That win was enough to also earn him the leaderboard title for the whole series, which bagged him an extra $50,000 and the Golden Eagle trophy.

Zamani broke into the Top 10 of the overall 2023 PGT Leaderboard which includes Jeremy Ausmus, Daniel Negreanu, Alex Foxen, Isaac Haxton, and overall leader Carey Katz. The upcoming High Roller events at the World Series of Poker will award points toward this leaderboard, which culminates in a $1 million freeroll for the Top 40 players.
