A good summer for KidPoker's backers
This year Daniel Negreanu famously opened his WSOP up to backing from fans for the first time at no markup, and it was a good year for KidPoker and his fans alike.
The good folks at PocketFives crunched the numbers and revealed that Negreanu played 58 events, paid $760,000 in buy-ins and cashed 16 times for $2,042,752 - an ROI of 168.78%.
Most notably those who paid for his 'High' package did the best, as his $525,000 in high stakes buy-ins earned him $1,725,838 - all of which came from his runner-up finish in the $100,000 High Roller.
Instagram Star doesn't know durrrr
He may be one of the most recognisable faces in poker, but poker is a bubble.
This week Instagram Chef Miguel Barclay asked his 306,000 fans "who is that guy" as Tom Dwan was turning heads in London:
Stanhope banned from Caesars
If you know who comedian Doug Stanhope is, you know he is not shy about upsetting people, and last week he tilted the folks at Caesars.
By all accounts a one star review left on Yelp and TripAdvisor by the comedian was enough to earn him a ban from all Caesars properties in Vegas, so don't expect to see him ever play the World Series of Poker:
