New table design coming to PokerStars

We recap some stories you may have missed including the final EPT of the year and the GTO verdict on Negreanu's big fold.

New look for Stars

2019 will start with an improved table design at PokerStars. The new graphics engine is being rolled out gradually to gauge player feedback.

PokerStars have said the technical changes will not only look better but also help facilitate improved gameplay and enhanced features (so it is likely we will see more new formats in 2019). You can get a sneak peak at one of the new look themes below:

1,174 players entered the final European Poker Tour Main Event of the year (and last event before the PSPC).

Twitch fans were denied a Parker Talbot victory as the popular streamer ended in sixth place for €179,360, following a strong run that was always near the big stacks from Day 1.

Which left Paul Michaelis of Germany to take down the €840,000 first prize and one of the final Platinum Passes of the year, following a three-way chop with Artem Kobylinskiy in 2nd for €571,910 and Alexandr Merzhvinskii in 3rd for €631,500.

Nice fold....but was it GTO?

The poker world was very impressed with Daniel Negreanu's big fold in the Super High Roller Bowl (well, not everyone was), but did it pass the GTO test?

Our main man Pleno1 could not resist putting the hand into PIOSolver and it turns out, Kid Poker was not far off:

Last time we fawn over the Kid Poker fold, we promise, but it is probably right to let the man himself have the last word on it:

Do you think the fold was GTO based or just a live read? Let us know in the comments:
