Omar Eljach wins the WSOPE Main Event
The Swede defeated a record field and a stacked final table to take home €1,380,129 and the prestigious bracelet.
The biggest WSOPE Main Event of all time has concluded with Omar Eljach of Sweden taking it down.
He bested a field of 763 players and a final table that included Tim Adams, Alexandre Reard, Barny Boatman and Shaun Deeb to win the bracelet and €1,380,129 first prize.
He defeated Jonathan Pastore heads-up to finally bag a bracelet after coming close twice before. He came second in a PLO event at the WSOPE in 2019 as well as second in a PLO event at this festival just last week.
He now joins a very star-studded group of players who can call themselves WSOPE champions including Annette Obrestad, John Juanda, Jack Sinclair, Kevin MacPhee, Adrian Mateos, Elio Fox and Phil Hellmuth.
A special mention must go to Shaun Deeb who cashed 7 of the 15 bracelet events in this series. Most notably he came third in the three biggest buy-in events of the WSOPE, cashing for well over €1 million this month.
