PokerGO launch dating show

We round-up some stories you may have missed including a new show for PokerGO, partypoker’s faith repaid and a WCOOP Main Event troll.

Poker Central have announced a new six-part dating show entitled “Chasing Hearts” that will air in its entirety on PokerGO on the 2nd of October.

Putting a pokeresque spin on the traditional blind date format, the show will follow couples on said blind dates while poker experts read the tells that reveal their true feelings on how the dates are going.

Joe Kakaty, president of Poker Central, added;

"Chasing Hearts combines unpredictable blind dates and poker-themed analysis to present a clever twist on the traditional dating show. PokerGO’s content library has an incredible diversity of programming that gives subscribers the choice to watch anything from live poker to unscripted reality, and everything in-between".

partypoker's priorities pay off

GVC Holding's dedication to online poker has paid off handsomely after the news that, for the first three quarters of 2017, they have posted increase in user deposits, including first-time deposits up by 88%, with much of that attributable to partypoker.

While other brands have strongly pushed alternative verticals of the online gaming market, party and their parent company have stepped in as a mainly poker focused site that can now boast that, over the last three years, first-time deposits have risen by 35%, first deposit amounts are up by 21% and overall deposits have been raised by 48%.

This isn’t to say that the party brand aren’t promoting their casinos and betting sites but while rivals are rewarding players with betting incentives, party have instead invested in recruiting an A-list who’s-who of the poker world from John Duthie and Mike Sexton all the way down to recent recruit, Fedor Holz. Plus, the success of Powerfest as well as pushing their live game where they became the first to jump in on the re-emerging Russian market with their LIVE event in Sochi earlier in the year, has seen the site perform very handsomely indeed. 

WCOOP Main Event winner trolls

WCOOP Main Event winner, Steven 'SvZff' van Zadelhoff immediately went and sat on a 2c/4c table with his $1 million winnings no doubt making his opponents feel green with envy.
